As you know, we always tell the truth here in My Life Without A Jetpack. So here's the ugly truth: I fell down some stairs and broke my right wrist. I also hurt my other hand, though not so badly, my right knee, and my head (nothing serious). Obviously, that means I can't letter comics; up to a couple of days ago I couldn't even pull up my pants… matter of fact, I'm forced to wear sweatpants only. A belt, a button, and a zipper are impossible for me to handle right now. My left hand has gotten better, luckily; I measure its progress by how much easier it gets to open the microwave door. I also have to type with just one finger of my left hand; I'm actually dictating this whole thing to the computer via voice recognition software. Pretty neat, huh? I feel like I'm on a Star Trek ship.

So, back to me not being able to letter. As usual, we will not leave you hanging here; starting with this particular strip you see here, there will be new material every week. I gave Taibox some ideas for filler pinups, you'll get to see them in the following weeks

Music this week is "Video Killed The Radio Star", but not the version you're used to, nor the cover by the Pet Shop Boys. I was going to go with the more famous one, by The Buggles, but it turns out that one of the guys who wrote the song, Trevor Horn, actually recorded the song first with his band Bruce Woolley & The Camera Club (which included Thomas Dolby òn keyboards), for their 1978 album English Garden. I still prefer the version we all know (from The Buggles' 1979 album The Age Of Plastic, but I thought it was worth showcasing this one. But why, you must ask, did I choose this song. Well, the bone I broke my wrist is the radius, which is Spanish is called "radio":
